The Coldarai Ranges spread from the northern edge of the Kalborean Lakes into the vast hinterlands of the south, and serve as a bastion against the unknown dangers of the west. Apart from the small outpost of Keb's Reach it is also the natural border of the Kalborean Union and delineates the edges of human settlement in Arborell. Beyond these mountains lay only the ruins of past civilisations, the uncharted peaks of the Westreach and the open grasslands of the Borders.
