It is the year of settlement 947 and the frontier of Kalborea is a dangerous place. From the battlements of Maenum a constant watch is kept on the sprawling tundra of the Sanhar Wastes, and in the mountains to the east and west, the Rangers of the Watch patrol for those Hordim who may try to find their way into the lands of Arborell. Few know the true dangers that lay before the Nations of Men, nor appreciate the malevolence of the tide of hatred that is about to unleash itself upon the unsuspecting Dwarvendim soldiers of Maenum.
