Central Kalborea is the heart of the union of twelve city states that control most of the lands settled by Men in Arborell. It is here that can be found Castaal, capital of the Union and largest of the Kalborean cities. It is within the bounds of the Malleron forest to the north and the waters of Elesmenedene in the south that a traveller will find all the power and wealth of the Kalborean Union concentrated. Nine centuries of settlement have transformed these lands into a rich landscape of farms and high-walled citadels that have never been assaulted by the Horde. Such troubles are left to the citizens of the frontier, and it is in the hands of these hardier men that the security of the Kalborean Union is assured.
