Round Three

Bobby Thundar VS Ryant de Cooke II

Jean de Montbergac VS Thomas

Falstaf Doutreive Cunningmare VS Aodhan

Rupert VS Gaston le Bear

Chaliot deFray VS Pierre de Gisoreux

Ryanus VS Ulric Von Licktenstein

Curtis Pythonheart VS Evrard de Laurier

Seretuon VS Gillrod de Moss

Jedjo Armag VS Artois Atrove

Unlike the previous rounds, this was not a day of fair weather. Instead, a thin mist had settled upon the city of Parravon and the sun was well hidden behind a curtain of high cloud, washing a grey colour upon the usually dazzling city. Thankfully, this did nothing to dampen the spirits of those who now flocked to the Trial of Steel pavilions, and once more laughter and excitement filled the air.

Inside the preparation building, the Squires sat in silence. None of them felt up to idle conversation, already two of their number had been removed from the competition. More were certain to follow.

Few had noticed the Herald's (and his attendant Scribe's) arrival in the Royal Alcove due to the mist that was now growing heavy. A long sounding of trumpets soon alerted those who had missed his arrival to his presence. With a nod the King's Herald signalled the King's Adjudicator to begin Round Three.

Once more the Adjudicator unrolled a scroll of parchment and read aloud...

"To commence Round Three, the first battle shall be fought between Bobby Thundar and his opponent, Ryant de Cooke II. May the Lady bless them both!" As the doors to the preparation building were opened once more, Bobby Thundar and Ryant de Cooke II marched into the centre of the arena and waited...

Bobby Thundar

Ryant de Cooke II
(Focused) - (Ranked 2nd)

In a flurry of sand Bobby Thundar began his assault. Shoulder Charging and swinging a powerful strike upon his opponent, Bobby's attack smashed through the defenses of Ryant. The attack hit with such force that Ryant staggered from the power of the wound, but kept his footing and was not knocked out. Ryant was not to be easily stunned however, and stoically leapt forward with a Lunging counter attack, slipped past Bobby's defenses and hit, but failed to cause a wound. He then lashed out with a Spin-Slash but Bobby Thundar was ready and dodged aside.

Now the real trading of blows began in earnest. Both Bobby and Ryant Jabbed at each other but both times their opponent was too quick for the attack and the thrust was evaded. Bobby then struck out with another Jab, but this time Ryant was too slow and the stab hit, but failed to wound. Ryant tried to counter with a Spin-Slash attack, however his opponent had already escaped from harm and the attack missed. Bobby thrust at his opponent one last time with a Jab, but missed.

The crowd's voices arose in a wave of excitement as Bobby's blade hit his opponent with a skillful Slash. Ryant replied with another Spin-Slash but once more his opponent had expected it and the swing missed. Spin-Slashing back, Bobby's attack was somewhat more accurate and slipped past his opponent's guard and hit, but failed to cause any real harm. Ignoring the feeble hit, Ryant took advantage of a moment's opening in Bobby Thundar's guard and Shoulder Charged into his foe, smashing into his mid-section with great force. Groaning from the impact of the blow, Bobby (after taking 2 Wounds!) fell to his knees and wavered, looking as if he was going to fall backwards and lose the match. With great endurance, however, he surged back to his feet and Chopped at his opponent. Not surpisingly, the attack from the freshly wounded Squire missed.

Roaring from the effort, Bobby Thundar Lunged at his opponent and delivered a blow with all the might he could muster. Ryant could not defend himself fully from the blow but did succeed in deflecting the Lunging attack enough that it only grazed his leg. Ryant de Cooke II then brought his blade down at his opponent with a massive Power Strike, but his aim was not true and the swing missed. Attempting to Shoulder Charge, Bobby began running at his opponent but stopped before reaching him, grasping his wound, unable to complete the attack due to the wound he had suffered.

Despite the nagging injury, Bobby tried another attack, this time a Spin-Slash that was easily avoided by his opponent. Ryant then Lunged forward when Bobby's guard was down and hammered him with another blow, but this time Bobby was unharmed. Bobby Thundar thrusted a Jab into the side of his opponent as Ryant de Cooke II recovered from Lunging. The attack hit but did no harm. Lunging once more, Ryant attempted to repeat his previously successful strike, but unfortunately for him, missed. Bobby Thundar, summoning up the last of his strength, Slashed at his opponent and would have hit, but was parried.

A call from the Adjudicator ended the battle and Bobby Thundar fell to his knees once more, obviously wounded badly. He had still won, however, by having 3 More Hits than his opponent. Ryant de Cooke II was a good sport though and lifted the hand of his victorious opponent high, even though Bobby looked like he did not have the strength left to do so himself. Bobby Thundar receives 7 points. Ryant de Cooke II receives 3 points.

When the crowd had finished applauding the efforts of the previous Squires, and the contestants had returned to the preparation building, the Adjudicator read aloud once again, "In this, the second battle of Round Three, Jean de Montbergac must do battle against Thomas, Squire to Baron Borsam!"

As the Scribe busily wrote upon his pieces of parchment, and the Herald whispered a few hushed words to him, the Squires began their march onto the centre of the arena...

Thomas, Squire to
Baron Borsam
(Average) - (Ranked 16th)

As soon as the signal to begin was given, Jean de Montbergac acted with such speed that he took Thomas by surprise, and locked blades with him in a Clash of Steel. Ill-prepared for such a quick action, Thomas was easily forced off balance by Jean (losing his 2 Attacks for this turn) and, trying to keep from falling over, was an easy target for a pair of Jabs thrust by Jean. One Jab missed, but the other hit its target. Unfortunately for Jean de Montbergac, the attack failed to wound.

Pressing the attack onwards, Jean forced Thomas backwards with another mighty Jab directly at the body of his opponent. The Jab hit and caused a serious wound to the Squire to Baron Borsam. Thomas then seemed as if he was going to fall over, and Jean moved in to strike the knockout blow. It was a quick-witted Subterfuge plan set by Thomas, however, and he lashed out with a powerful blow when the unsuspecting Jean came too close. The attack hit with enough force behind it that it stunned Jean for a moment. Thomas then struck once more, this time with a Chop, but his attack missed. Jean, now recovering from being stunned, took a Deflection stance and readied himself for defense.

With the crowd's cheers growing ever louder, Jean de Montbergac abandoned the Deflection stance and charged at his opponent in an all-out Shoulder Charge which hammered into Thomas. Much to the merit of the Squire to Baron Borsam, Thomas lifted his shield and blocked the heavy blow, turning it aside! Striking back, Thomas Chopped and hit his opponent, but failed to cause any harm. He then swung a Power Strike at his foe but, luckily for Jean, missed.

Seeing his opponent raising his weapon for a Power Strike, Jean readied himself to Deflect the blow. Thomas's Power Strike was badly aimed, however and only succeeded in stirring the now heavy mist. Jean tried to Shoulder Charge into Thomas once more, but this time his attack missed by a wide margin.

As the final turn began, Jean de Montbergac raised his weapon to Deflect any attacks that Thomas would try in the final moments of the battle. Thomas, attempting to lock blades with Jean in a Clash of Steel, was unable to succeed as Jean dodged aside. Hacking at his opponent with a left-to-right Power Strike, Jean smashed his blade into the shoulder of his opponent and weakened the limb. Thomas lifted his weapon to Chop back, but the fresh wound on his arm forced him to attack too slowly and was easily avoided.

A call of "Halt!" stopped the Squires in mid-fight. They both looked slightly tired but also determined and ready to do more fighting. Jean de Montbergac was declared the winner by having 1 More Hit than his opponent. Jean de Montbergac gains 6 points. Thomas, Squire to Baron Borsam gains 4 points.

"Next, Falstaf Doutreive Cunningmare XVII shall be fighting against Aodhan of Greensleeves. May the Lady bless the victor!" Once more the crowd burst into cheers as the Adjudicator declared this, and once more the preparation doors swung open...

To the crowd's surprise, when the signal was given, neither Squire rushed at his opponent. Instead they looked for a weakness in each others guard. As it was, Falstaf was the one to attack first, jumping forward at his opponent and stabbing out with a Jab. Aodhan saw it coming however and dodged out of the way, before thrusting his own Jab at Falstaf. Falstaf was not caught off-guard though, and parried the strike. Falstaf then replied with a Slash, but missed.

Now locked in a fierce combat, Falstaf launched another Slash at his foe but found his attack blocked by Aodhan's shield. Jabbing back, Aodhan nearly pierced the defenses of Falstaf but he, too, found his attack stopped by the defenses of his opponent. Aodhan attempted another attack, this time a Subterfuge attack, but Falstaf did not fall for the trick and dodged the blow. Slashing back, Falstaf Doutreive Cunningmare XVII slipped past the guard of his opponent and hit, but failed to cause any harm.

The two combatants were now begining to anticipate each other's blows and, because of that, managed to avoid each other's attacks. As the crowd cheered them on, Falstaf's two Slashes and Aodhan's single Jab all were evaded.

Parrying a Jab from Falstaf, Aodhan of Greensleeves tossed his opponent's sword to the side and Slashed out at, and hit, the unprotected body of Falstaf, but did no harm. Falstaf then managed to dodge a further Power Strike from his opponent, but failed to connect with a Slash.

Falstaf, knowing that the final moments of the battle were drawing near, Slashed at his opponent once more. Again, Aodhan of Greensleeves saw the attack coming and blocked it, striking back with a quick but strong Power Strike, hammering into the torso of his opponent but causing no wounds. A final, desperate Jab from Falstaf was unsuccessful and missed.

Once more, the King's Adjudicator put a stop to the battle. The time limit had ended and it was now time to proclaim the victor. Aodhan of Greensleeves had won by having 1 More Hit than his opponent. Therefore, Aodhan of Greensleeves gains 6 points whilst Falstaf Doutreive Cunningmare XVII receives 4 points.

The air grew ever thicker with mist, only hours before it had been a light mist, now it was bordering on a fog. The people at the back of the pavilions were pressing closer to those at the front, as it was becoming difficult to see the far end of the arena from the back of the pavilions. Nonetheless, the King's Adjudicator read aloud again, "Rupert, Squire to Baron Borsam and current leader of the Tournament's roster, shall do battle with Gaston le Bear. May the best man win!"

When the Squires had reached the centre of the arena and the signal had been given, the battle began. Neither Squire wasted any time and quickly attacked at each other. With a skilled trick, Rupert struck a Diversion attack at his opponent but Gaston was not to be easily fooled and avoided it. Lunging to the attack, Gaston le Bear struck back but was stopped by the shield of his deft opponent. Rupert then hit back with a Chop, but he too found his attack stopped, this time by a parry from Gaston. The heated melee continued with Gaston Chopping at his opponent, hitting but doing no damage. Then, in a surprisingly quick end, Rupert lashed out with a Double Strike, hit Gaston le Bear across the legs and knocked him off his feet!

The battle had ended because Gaston le Bear had been knocked off his feet and onto his back. Rupert, Squire to Baron Borsam looked very happy. He had won by Knocking Over his opponent. Thus, Rupert receives 10 points (increasing his total to 30!) and Gaston receives no points.

Gaston was helped from the arena as Rupert continued to look quite happy (and somewhat stunned) at what he had acheived. Even so, they both found their way back into the preparation building. Once they had left, the King's Adjudicator unrolled the parchment once more and read, "Chaliot deFray shall do battle with Pierre de Gisoreux. Squires, approach!"

Not wasting any time, Pierre de Gisoreux burst forward. Hacking at his opponent with a Slash, Pierre found his attack halted by the skillful defense of Chaliot deFray. With his first attack of the match, Chaliot quickly Shoulder Charged at his foe but Pierre dodged the heavy blow as his foe charged past. After backing away from his opponent, seemingly frightened, Pierre suddenly burst forward into an all out attack. This act of Subterfuge hit and caused a jarring wound upon his opponent.

The spectators looked on as the blades of these two skilled opponents met once more. This time a lightning-quick Double Strike from Pierre was turned aside by a skilled parry, and replied to by a sweeping Chop from Chaliot which was deflected by the shield of his opponent. Swinging with a Power Strike, Pierre attempted to end the battle with a mighty overhead slice, but Chaliot deFray evaded the blow. Chaliot attacked back with another Chop, but Pierre de Gisoreux was a skilled opponent and Chaliot's blow was stopped once more by his shield.

Avoiding a clumsy Jab from his opponent, Chaliot tried to hammer his opponent with the strongest Power Strike he could muster, but unfortunately missed. As the heavy blow of Chaliot sliced into the sandy ground of the arena, Pierre de Gisoreux Slashed at his opponent. Unfortunately for Pierre, Chaliot stopped the blow with his shield.

Chaliot deFray cursed as his Jab was evaded by his swifter opponent. Pierre then struck back with two Double Strikes. The first of which would have hit, but was parried. The second was easily dodged and missed. Annoyed at his inablity to pierce the defenses of Pierre, Chaliot deFray Chopped once more, but again his attack was halted by the blade of his opponent.

Again Chaliot's attack was parried, this time even a confusing Diversion attack failed to break the iron defense of his opponent. Pierre stepped forward once more and attacked with a Chop and a Double Strike. Neither attack found its mark. Finally, Chaliot was able to punch through the defense of Pierre with a Shoulder Charge, hammering into Pierre (causing 2 Wounds!) and sending him staggering backwards.

Turn 6 began (both Squires had the same amount of hits) with a now tired Pierre dodging a Jab from his opponent and counter attacking with a Double Strike. Unfortunately for Pierre, the Double Strike missed. Attacking again, Pierre Slashed at his foe but was parried, before being slammed into by another Shoulder Charge from Chaliot! Amazingly, Pierre was able to withstand the charge and pushed it aside with his shield!

As the 7th and final Turn began (both Squires still had the same amount of hits) both Pierre and Chaliot found their attacks blocked. Pierre's Slash was stopped by a well-placed shield and Chaliot's Jab was turned aside by a masterful parry from his opponent. Pierre de Gisoreux, finally getting past his foe's guard, hit Chaliot in the mid-section with a Double Strike and caused a palpable wound to the Defensive Squire. As the final attack of the battle, Chaliot struck back with a Double Strike of his own, but missed.

The battle was finally over. Pierre de Gisoreux had won by having 1 More Hit than his opponent. Pierre de Gisoreux gains 6 points, whilst Chaliot deFray gains 4 points.

The mists and heavy cloud could not dampen the spirits of those who were present as the lunchtime festivities began once more. Bread and mead was made available to all who wished it and soon the entertainers appeared, to dance, sing and perform for the wonderment of the entire assembled crowd. It took an entire hour for the festivities to end, but when they did the spectators happily returned to the pavilions.

Once the crowd had returned, the Adjudicator looked once more to the parchment he held, "Ryanus Caeruleus Coquus shall now do battle against Ulric Von Licktenstein. May the better man be victorious!"

Once more, the Squires entered the arena and prepared themselves for battle...

The battle began quickly, and from the start everybody present realised that it would be hard fought and fast paced. Ulric Lunged at his opponent but Ryanus dodged aside and hit his opponent with a Double Strike, but failed to wound. Ulric Chopped, but was again evaded. Ryanus stepped back a pace and readied to Deflect any incoming attacks, but as in previous battles, his Recklessness got the better of him and he abandoned that plan and Slashed out. Unfortunately, the attack was parried by Ulric Von Licktenstein. Replying with a Lunging swipe, Ulric missed with a clumsy blow, but succeeded in parrying a Slash from his opponent. A further sweeping Chop from Ulric succeeded in hitting, getting past the meagre defenses of his opponent and impacted with Ryanus's leg, causing the Reckless Squire to limp slightly.

Hitting again, Ulric's Jab slipped past his opponent's guard but failed to cause any further harm. Ryanus Caeruleus Coquus, stunned by the sudden two hits that he had just taken, readied himself to Deflect his opponent's blows. The effort was not wasted, as an accurate Chop from Ulric was easily deflected. Ryanus then sliced out at his opponent with a Double Strike, but the attack missed. Much to Ryanus's anger, Ulric again succeeded in hitting him. This time with a Lunging swing that, although it did no damage, still hit. Ryanus's counter attacks, a Chop and a Slash, were inaccurate and missed. As did a further Lunge from Ulric.

This time, unable to break through the guard of Ryanus, Ulric Von Licktenstein found his Jab stopped by a parry. Ryanus then lifted his weapon to Deflect any incoming blows. The effort was not needed, however, as the next attack from Ulric, this time another Jab, missed. Ryanus then struck out with a Spin-Slash but was evaded, and then barely avoided a counter-attacking Chop from Ulric. Finally able to hit, Ryanus struck his opponent with such force from his Lunging attack that Ulric was stunned long enough for Ryanus to Lunge, and hit, again.

Not allowing himself to be easily defeated, Ulric Von Licktenstein hammered his opponent with another Chop, causing a wound to his Reckless foe. Ryanus attacked back with a Lunge but failed to hit. Ulric then tried to bring his opponent down with a Shoulder Charge, but Ryanus was able to evade it. Ryanus was unable to capatalize on the failed Shoulder Charge from his opponent, as a Double Strike, a Slash and a Lunge from him all missed.

As the 5th and final Turn began, Ulric thrust his blade with a Jab at the body of Ryanus Caeruleus Coquus, causing a palpable wound. Ryanus struck back with a Lunge, and with a crunch his sword impacted heavily with the arm of his opponent, weakening the limb. The next few attacks from both Squires were ineffective, as two Chops from Ulric missed, as did a Lunge and a Spin-Slash from his opponent. Groaning from the effort of lifting his wounded sword arm, Ulric brought his weapon down in a sweeping Chop attack and hit, but failed to cause any further harm. Ryanus's final attack, a last-ditch Slash, missed.

The battle was over because the time limit was up. Ulric Von Licktenstein had been victorious as he had been able to score 2 More Hits than his opponent. Ulric Von Licktenstein earns 6 points, whilst Ryanus Caeruleus Coquus earns 4 points.

"Next, Curtis Pythonheart must do battle against Evrard de Laurier. May the Lady bless the victor!" Announced the Adjudicator. Once more the doors swung open, and once more two Squires entered the sandy arena.

The signal was given and, much to the crowd's joy, the Squires advanced upon each other. Evrard de Laurier allowed Curtis to act first, and readied to Deflect any blows he might try. Curtis Pythonheart struck with a Chop that had surprising accuracy, taking Evrard off guard, and smashed into his leg with a dull thud, weakening the limb. A further Jab from Curtis was not as skilled, and missed. Striking back with a Double Strike and a Jab, Evrard's two attacks both hit, slipping past Curtis's defenses, but both failed to wound. Curtis again hit his opponent with a Chop, and once more Evrard failed to defend himself from it. This blow hit him in the leg again, but the damage it caused was fleeting. Curtis then Shoulder Charged at his opponent, but Evrard was expecting the attack and dodged out of the way.

Curtis's sword Chopped into the ground and sent a spray of sand into the air as it did so for the blade had missed its target. Double Striking at his opponent, Evrard's attack was accurate but was parried. Curtis Chopped once more, this time hitting and slipping past his opponent's guard, but the hit did not cause any real harm. Evrard, trying to gain an advantage over Curtis, attempted to lock blades in a Clash of Steel but failed. Annoyed by the failed attempt, Evrard de Laurier then Jabbed at his opponent, hit but failed to wound. Curtis counter attacked with two quick Chops. The first of which missed, the second of which was parried.

The crowd's cheers filled the air once more as the two Squires seperated, both were tired from the effort of the fight but neither Squire was ready to give up yet. They both respected each other, indeed it had been a fierce battle, but it was not over...

Curtis Shoulder Charged at his opponent, but Evrard had expected something of the sort to be attempted by his Reckless opponent and evaded the attack. Evrard tried to Deflect any further attacks but realised that he had a chance to strike and did so. Unfortunately, his two Slashes both missed.

Evrard de Laurier again readied to Deflect any attacks his opponent would try. Unfortunately for Evrard, both a Chop and a Spin-Slash from Curtis succeeded in bypassing his guard and hit him, neither doing any physical harm, however. Evrard, surprised at his own failure to defend himself, swung a Double Strike at his opponent and hit, but failed to wound. A further Spin-Slash from Evrard de Laurier missed and did nothing more than disturb the thick mist. Curtis Pythonheart, dodging the Spin-Slash, hammered into Evrard with a Shoulder Charge and hit with such force that the Squire was nearly lifted off his feet (and caused 1 Wound)!

Curtis's Spin-Slash was dodged by Evrard de Laurier, who replied with a stunningly quick Double Strike, but missed. Evrard struck out once more with a Spin-Slash of his own and the blow smashed into the torso of Curtis, causing a wound upon the Squire. Curtis Spin-Slashed again, but was too stunned by the blow he had just suffered and missed. With a Jab, Evrard hit again, but this time failed to hurt his opponent. Curtis struck back with a Chop, but was parried. Finally, in the last blow of the battle, a very surprising result occured. Shoulder Charging into Evrard, Curtis Pythonheart's blow caught Evrard directly on the chest (causing 2 Wounds!) and knocked him out!

With this surprising end, the match was over. As the onlookers cheered, Curtis Pythonheart had won by Knocking Out his opponent. Curtis Pythonheart gains 10 points. Evrard de Laurier gains 0 points.

The Scribe was still writing upon the parchment that was spread before him when the King's Adjudicator unrolled his scroll once more. "Next, Seretuon must compete against Gillrod de Moss. As the crowd roared in expectation, the battle began. Gillrod leapt to the attack, stabbing at his opponent with a speedy Jab, which was parried by the expert defenses of Seretuon. With a mighty swing, Seretuon counter attacked with a Power Strike, hammering his blade into the body of Gillrod de Moss and stunning him.

Staggering backwards from being stunned, Gillrod was unable to defend himself from a Jab thrust by Seretuon. The Jab hit the Adriot Squire in the arm with punishing force, weakening both the arm, and the Squire himself. However, Gillrod was prepared for a further Slash from Seretuon and parried it, tossing his opponent's weapon aside. Gillrod then stepped backwards and struck a Deflection style pose.

Pressing the attack once more, Seretuon lashed out with another Jab but this time, Gillrod was ready and evaded the thrust. Striking back with a Jab of his own, Gillrod was unable to hit his foe. Seretuon then Lunged at his opponent and delivered a sweeping strike, but found his attack stopped by the defenses of Gillrod de Moss. Gillrod then pushed his blade aside and struck back with a Power Strike. The Power Strike was inaccurate however, and missed.

Both Squires made punishing blows upon each other at the same time. Gillrod Jabbed at Seretuon and caused a disabling wound to the Defensive Squire's leg, and nearly knocked him from his feet. Seretuon hammered the torso of his opponent with a Power Strike, causing an equally ferocious wound to his enemy.

Seretuon and Gillrod de Moss backed up, both nursing palpable wounds but both were still ready for more. With considerable effort from both sides, the battle was re-joined...

As the battle ground on, Seretuon stabbed out at his opponent with a Jab. Gillrod parried the Jab however and, counter attacking with a Power Strike, brought his blade down on his opponent with a mighty swing. Unfortunately for Gillrod de Moss, Seretuon blocked the Power Strike with his shield. Seretuon tried one last Chop, but Gillrod easily defended himself against it.

The battle was over, all 5 Turns had past and now was the time to declare a winner. The victor was Seretuon, who had won by having 2 More Hits than his opponent. Therefore, Seretuon gains 6 points, whilst Gillrod de Moss gains 4 points.

Only a single battle was left to be fought in Round Three, and it looked like it would need to take place quickly, as dark clouds were gathering overhead and the low boom of thunder could be heard in the distance. Undisturbed, the King's Adjudicator read aloud one last time from the scroll he carried. "Lastly, for the final battle of Round Three, Jedjo Armag will do battle against Artois Atrove!"

For one final time this day, the doors to the preparation room opened...

Artois Atrove, acting first, readied himself for Jedjo's attack by striking a Deflection style pose. Jedjo Armag did attack, but the attempt to Deflect the blow was wasted, as Jedjo's Spin-Slash missed. Taking advantage of a good chance, Artois Atrove Chopped at his opponent, hit and the blow did real harm to Jedjo (causing a Wound).

Striking back, Jedjo Armag Jabbed at Artois but his opponent was too swift and the stab was avoided. Artois then Feinted an attack from the left and then Chopped out from the right. Unfortunately for Artois, Jedjo ignored the Feint and parried the Chop! Jedjo, with great skill, Chopped at his opponent, hit Artois on the leg and toppled him onto his back!

With this quick end to the battle, Jedjo Armag had won. Jedjo Armag had won by Knocking Over his opponent. Jedjo Armag gains 10 points. Artois Atrove gains 0 points.

The King's Herald arose from his seat and called out, "Squries of Bretonnia. Approach!", and approach they did. Only 18 strong now, the Squires marched into the centre of the arena, and turned to face the Herald. The applause from the crowd then arose, and many of the Squires, although nervous about who would be eliminated, felt pride in their day's combat.

Once a blast from trumpets silenced all who were cheering in the crowd, the Herald spoke, "Once more you impress me with the level of skill, stamina and courage that rests within such young warriors. Bretonnia surely will have the finest of warriors to protect it when the time comes for you to heed the call to arms. However, the road of a Knight is long, and difficult, and not all of you are ready to travel it as of yet. Thus, it is time for the
