Introduction
Along the borders of Bretonnia, a few brave lords are fighting back against the forces
of darkness that skulk within the dark forests, dank swamps and towering mountains
of the lands outside of Bretonnia. With cold steel, faith in the Lady of the Lake and a
wise lords, these border estates shall grow into strongholds of chivalry and glory,
standing firm against the darkness.
However, the borderlands of Bretonnia are anything but safe, Beastmen, Orcs, human
Raiders, and Dark Elves and more await their chance to destroy those who would dare
attempt to set up such a border estate.
In the "A Lord of Bretonnia" game, each player takes up the role of a minor lordling,
who has just begun his rule of a minor border estate of Bretonnia. His job is to defend
his people and expand his land holdings. Plagues, Orc attacks, storms, Dark Elf raids
and much more stand in the lord’s way, but with courage, wisdom and luck, the lord
may just prevail...
