The Tournament of Thierulf's Gauntlet
Once more the call for brave Knights has gone across the lands. An item of great importance has been discovered in the ruins of an old, forgotten Grail Chapel. A single Gauntlet, adorned with age-old writing in Bretonnian dialects and crafted from finest steel. Although it is clearly many hundreds of years old, it is obviously magical, as the object is tarnished by neither rust, nor the dents of battle.
Those who discovered it knew it was important, just from the sight of it. They brought it before the great King Leoncour, who paid the treasure hunters handsomely for it, and gave the Guantlet to the Fey Enchantress to study. After many weeks, the Enchantress unlocked its secrets.
It was the right-hand Gauntlet of none other than Duke Thierulf of Lyonesse, most loyal of Gille le Breton's Grail Companions, infused with the determination and loyalty of that most trustworthy of Knights.
And lo, the call for brave Knights went across the lands. A Jousting Tournament was to be held. The victor of which would be bestowed the honour of owning the Gauntlet. Surely, the forces of Bretonnia would rally behind any who was so blessed by the Lady to own such an object.
Many of the world's greatest Knights have journeyed from across the lands to participate in the Joust. Only time will tell which of them has been chosen by the Lady Of The Lake to claim this blessed prize.
