Section 101
The Trippet proves to be a foe of considerable difficulty but one that is not beyond your skill. Within a melee of thrashing limbs you strike at its arms, attempting to cause a wound that will force it to retreat. It is not an easy goal, for the creature's limbs are slick with a gelatinous ooze, and on more than one attempt your weapon slides ineffectively from its pulsating skin. For you however, there is no option but to survive and it is with a sickening howl that the monster recoils when you finally strike home.
Shuddering from a wound to one of its many tentacles, the Trippet retreats, limbs flailing as it slides ponderously back into the dark waters, its quivering body quickly lost to the pool's inky depths. It has had enough and will wait for an easier meal.
In the quick silence that follows the monster's retreat you do not wait to see if it will try again. Instead you grab up your equipment and make a hasty run for the exit of your choice. It is best that you move on.
Options: Turn to the Room Generation Tables and determine where your chosen exit will now take you.
